Creating your Own Internet Presence
Blogger is a platform from Google that provides almost all tools necessary to create your free presence in the internet.
I personally recommend Blogger because it is easy and simple, plus it is completely free.
If you are planning to take this workshop, then I will recommend you to start putting some thoughts to your creative mind. One of the critical elements to any web design is planning. It save time and allow you to work more efficiently.
Answering the following questions will help you to start the planning phase:
- What will be purpose of my blog?
- How much time do I have to update my blog?
- How often do I plan to post material?
- What would be a good name for my blog?
- Am I planning to buy a domain name eventually?
- What theme would I use?
- What colors I will use?
- Am I planning to use specific graphics or pictures?
These are the minimal questions to answer prior create a blog.
The day of the class you must bring the following:
- Portable PC (preferable Windows OS)
- Google email account
- MS Office at least 2010
You can prepare written material or bring your own graphics to the class. This would allow you to focus more in the creation and learning experience.
Right now I am teaching in two levels:
Basic: you learn all generals concepts and use most of them to create a great blog.
Intermediate: we will work more on styling and coding (don't worry it would be copy/paste)
Advanced; this is more strategic and monetizing part of the blog life.
